DualShock 4 V2 not working through steam (read disc)

I have got a Dualshock 4 V2 Controller model = CUH-ZCT2E.

I have been unable to get it working through steam even with PS4 support enabled in BPM.

Things I have tried:
1 - Uninstalling and Re-installing drivers.
2 - Updating drivers.
3 - Switching between USB and BT.
4 - DS4 and Inputmapper(DS4 doesnt detect but Inputmapper does but doesnt work in game)
5 - Changing USB cables.
6 - Resetting the controller.

I have been able to get it working through steam link but would like to use it without steam link. Any Suggestions?

Umm no, where can I find the official driver because I have been looking for it.

Note: I use DS4Windows and disable Steam input. You can get an updated fork of DS4Windows from here: https://github.com/Ryochan7/DS4Windows

The only game i use Steam Input for is Sekiro.

Just tested without DS4Windows running and the v2 controller i have works in both the client and BPM. Note: v2 controller is wired.

Are you using it on a PS4 and then trying to use it on PC?

Note: Inputmapper can be flaky and not always reliable.

Are you using it on a PS4 before trying to use it on your #PC because if you are you need to put a pin in the hole on the back of the controller to disassociate from the PS4.

Are you using the fork version of DS4Windows i linked?

Are you using your DS4 wired? Try a different usb port.

Are you connecting the controller before using either DS4Windows or booting Steam as it will show as a wireless controller in joy.cpl before either are running.

Do as ReBoot suggested. Get the driver from PSNow although i have never had to use it.

Okay, I have switched ports. I installed PSnow to get the driver. I tried the fork you linked. I tried both starting before and after starting DS4Windows and the controller is still not working.

The only I have to add is what I just posted on another thread similar to this.

I haven't used a DS4 for PC in over a year, but last time I used them, I made sure to get a few of the different drivers (not just DS4Win, for example). Sometimes I found some games won't see the controller, other times it would then next time wouldn't and would stubbornly sit there.

Switching between the few different drivers always solved the issue for all the games I tried. Can be a bit of a pain though as this can happen a lot with DS4 controllers.

The only other thing I'll add is a bit of a long shot - when you switched USB ports, make doubly sure that USB port puts out enough power to completely run the controller. It's quite common to plug something in to a lower powered port, see the lights come on and assume all is dandy, but that ain't necessarily the case. All you can do is keep trying switching things around to make sure.

Reboot your PC with the DS4 NOT connected.

While waiting for your PC to reboot put a pin in the hole at the back of the DS4 press down for 20 seconds then release.

Next do NOT have either Steam or DS4Windows running then connect the DS4 to your PC (WIRED). If Windows detects the DS4 you will hear a connection sound and it will show up in joy.cpl.

Next either boot DSWindows or Steam to see if the DS4 now is available.
