How do i unlink epic games account on steam?

Hello guys.. i had Epic Games account with fortnite and stuff but i got hacked because fortnite kids needs my skin in fortnite so they hacked me or idk... but there is a problem.. that account that i got hacked on is linked to my steam account where i have rocket league.. as you know rocket league got new update and you have to link it to your epic games account to play it... BUT.. my account is hacked so what do i do? i have new working epic games account already but when i tried to link it.. it says "This Steam account is already linked to one Epic Games Account"... so what? I dont have acces to that epic games account so what do i do? is there any way how can i unlink my old epic games account and link that new one without acces to my old epic games account? (and btw i tried to contact epic games but they cant help me..)

There is not.

You will need to work with Epic to recover the account, then see if they can unlink them. Valve can not help as it is on Epic's side.

On the other hand, if you don't even have access to your Epic account anymore, why do you even want to "unlink"? It's not like this is going to block anything...

... except maybe linking it to a different Epic account? They might refuse to do that... or they might just move the link over to the new account, in which case you could it unlink it from there :-)

EDIT: actually, I just saw that you can use Steam to log into the linked Epic account. That should give you access to your Epic account...

That's interesting. I tried that and it does work (I normally log in via email)

So if the OP has their steam account, then they can log in with that and then recover it

Does make it such that you really need to secure all your accounts as theyh can be intertwined in ways

I have EXACTLY the same problem as you do, i tried contacting epic but they couldn't do ♥♥♥♥ as always , basically we both lost our rocket league accounts for no reason , i had 500 hours in it now its for nothing . Epic games always ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up

If you don't have access to the account that's linked, and you definitely did not do it, i'd suggest following this:

 "Here is how I fixed it Instead of logging in using your epic account Log in using your steam account When n you have finished logging in you will redirected to a site where you can make an epic account Continue with the process until the account is done Go to your new epic account settings then connections and unlink steam from this epic account Now log in into your main epic account and you should be able to link your account no problem"

This is pure example of how having a million accounts all over what can happen..

Certainly glad I do not have an Epic account.. them and their 1 year exclusives can go pound.

I tend to avoid those games that fall for epic bait too .. even when they crawl to Steam.

That might be because you neglected to get your account secure in time, and 'whoever else' had access to it may have done it for you...

You need to be persistent, if you own the account and can prove it, go tell Epic that.

I mean, they're garbage on a stick, I'm not saying they will be cooperative. But...

None of this is a Steam sided issue, and cannot be fixed using Steam. take it up with Epic.

Yes I wonder why your account could possibly have been comprised. It couldn’t possibly be the plethora of shady websites you predominantly plaster on your profile giving away your credentials for pennies. But yeah you know “Epic” is the problem
