Not interested in EA Play. Is there a way to ignore it so that it goes away from the store page?
Like you would any other game you simply have no interest in but keeps popping up in your recommendations. I guess what I'm asking if there's a way to set it to "Ignored" so it gets grayed out.

Don't think so

But it has literally just launched, i'm sure it won't be there forever

Still there.

This is the link that corresponds with EA Play in your "recommended" list:
store [dot] steampowered [dot] com/app/1289670/EA_Play/

If there's a way to ignore an app by its ID, it could probably work...

Like with any promotion, wait until it's not the latest & most important and it will go away.
Maskerader Nov 24, 2020 @ 2:54am
How long should I wait? :D It's been almost three months.

It doesn't "go away", it pops up on a regular basis. I don't think this'll solve itself, so I'd rather have an option to add it to my ignore list.

I don't see it on the front page right now.
In fact, there's no promotion on the store page ATM.

Right now FootBall manager 2021 is being promoted. I don't see EA Play, unless you're talking about seeing EA games that has EA Play logo on the game image bottom right of it telling you know it's a supported game for EA play then maybe just ignore EA, and all their games?

Why not just ignore it OP, is seeing EA play really giving you pain and stress when you see it ?
Sorry dude, it is something that I find really hard to understand from a personal level. maybe because I don't suffer from this sort of anxiety in life.

EA has hurt alot of people with their actions in the past, and even some in the present. I do understand where OP is coming from. :)

The best you can do OP, is try and fiddle with the store and it's options when listing games.

I came back to Steam after an almost 5 year absence without a PC, and I found the diffrences a bit jarring. Didn';t take long to get used to it and turn the store to how I wanted to view it.

Simply because I list things how I want them by using the filters and tags.

You're not going to get rid of MAJOR front page adverts though simply because they're there for a reason - they're big money spinners. Just scroll down a bit or click to something else. Have a dig and you can soon make the store show what you want.

For instance, I always scroll right down to the "Specials" - what's on sale, because I only buy games on sale. Clikc on show all, then I refine it in order of price.

Or if I'm after a particular thing, I can refine further by genre or whatever.

EA hurt people, what ?... this I don't understand either. I have been burned by some games as in wasting money buying them but I don't let it affect me in anyway, why should it. Just made me a more careful buyer.

And no gamer should let any thing that happens in the gaming business affect their mental well being period. If it does that person should quit gaming.

google that publisher click on steam link with the name and then locate the cog wheel , ignore this creator.
i have no idea if this will work try it.

https://store.steampowered.com/publisher/EA
right under Beta

check news also, even more options and filters. maybe check all category.

i have never done this, kill a Publisher or EA in your case.

January and it's still in there. I want to ignore it like everything that comes from Ea...

I think I have a solution, not sure.

Go to STORE, FEATURED page.

Along the left hand side, click SPECIALS.

Scroll down the page until you come to the list of TOP SELLERS; the list of offerings with thumbnails, title, operating system, tags, discount in a small green box, and price.

Find EA play on that list.

Mouse over the listing and a small double down arrow icon will show up in the upper right hand corner.

Click the double down arrow, and select IGNORE.

Hope that works!

It won't remove any small banners on the store page though.
