The following is likely to end badly :-(

Partition 2
Partition ID: Disk #0, Partition #2
Disk Letter: C:
File System: NTFS
Volume Serial Number: F0997F64
Size: 919 GB
Used Space: 887 GB (96%)
Free Space: 31.3 GB (4%)

If you do not free up at least another 170+ GB of free storage space on the (C: partition/ hard drive (HDD) you are risking corruption of Windows and possibly the loss of all data on the HDD.

As for any potental upgrades for the xps 8500, would suggest letting the folks here know what games you would like to play but fwiw you have 8GB of dual channel 1600MHz so no need for any more memory, upgrade the following to what your budget will allow: the GPU, the PSU (this is a must and the minimum of a Bronze rated quality brand of sufficient output capacity) + add some additional case cooling.

you really shouldn't buy anything, if you're complaining about pc prices why are you buying a new gpu? that will just set you back.

it won't set me back that much compared to a new pc. it will be longer than next year before i can get a new pc i want to play the games now not a year or two from now.

A gtx 1050ti is the same size as the hd 7770. It'll fit just fine.
