XBOX One wireless controller?
Hey guys, so I decided to buy an xbox one WIRELESS controller for platformers I play on steam. The problem is when I went to buy one, the store clerk told me its not compatible. Is the Xbox One Wireless controller not compatible? Should i get the Xbox One wired controller instead?

Official Xbox one controllers can be used wireless or wired. Simply connect a full data usb to micro-usb cable.

You pick them up or a 6' cable is included in the official play and charge kit. You could also use the charging cable from your smartphone if you have one.

To use it wirelessly you either need bluetooth or an Xbox Wireless adaptor. https://www.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-one/accessories/controllers/windows-wireless-adapter

They are both correct, but what version of Windows are you using? Windows 10, assuming you are on the most recent version already includes the drivers for the controller, other you will also need to install the drivers from Microsoft's website.

The XBox One gamepad requires a receiver if you want to use it wirelessly, the XBox One S runs just fine on vanilla Bluetooth. So if your PC has BT, grab the XBOS one and it'll work wirelessly just fine.
