Steam doesn't recognize my PS3 controller
I was playing TOV yesterday with my PS3 controller, now Steam doesn't recognize it at all. I'm using ScpToolkit. At first, it appeared in the Controller Configuration, then I tried to change the layout (I think it is, I put the same buttons in every place), then it disappeared. I uninstalled ScpToolKit like 3 times, but Steam it only recognizes it when I uninstall the PS3 Controller by Scp as a PS3 controller, when I install again the PS3 controller again, the computer recognizes the controller as a XBOX 360 but Steam not

Sadly, this has been an issue that has been going on for about two months now. I don't know what the cause of it is, but many controllers just stop working or do some erratic behaviour out of the blue.

I've yet to see a fix, but I do have one suggestion that some people have had success with - Joy2Key. A utility that will allow controllers like the PS3, or PS4 ones to emulate being Xbox One controllers.

Make sure you follow the instructions EXACTLY as there's a bit of preamble before you run it.

Perhaps the update that just rolled out KB4562899 .NET Framework 4.8 have done something.

I tried with Joy2key but the problem is my computer doesn’t detect the movement of my controller, so neither with Better DS3 I can use it, only Scp.

So just to be clear here, I said you need to follow the instructions carefully as Joy2Key is a bit weird.

You need to cnnect the controller to your PC at the right time, then load the driver each time you use it. It should explain it within the instructions, but I haven't seen a recent version of it so it may have changed.

Normally if you're getting no response, that's what's happened.
