Open the Steam client, and look in the bottom left corner where it says "ADD A GAME" click that and then click on "Activate a Product on Steam..."

If you're talking about a key.

Install the desktop Steam Client if you haven't already https://store.steampowered.com/about/ Login to your account through that and then add the game through there and it'll appear in your library. You can install the game that way.

I think I may have to uninstall the steam app and start again...I have searched everywhere and have no library, add game etc...just four tabs across the top including Store and Community… arghh very fruatrating as I have been trying to activate the code for train simulater 2020 for my son that I bought off cdkeys.com .

Hi, im trying to use a code I bought off cdkeys for train simulater 2020. I just don't seem to have any of the tabs that people are telling me about.... no gamess tab or even library!! Im in the Uk, but I don't think that should affect anything.

Try pressing the Windows key and searching for Steam if you are using that OS.
It should come up with the app/client.

The Steam desktop client you have must install looks like this https://news-cdn.softpedia.com/images/news2/New-Steam-Client-LAnds-with-Better-CPU-and-Memory-usage-481168-2.jpg

At the top, you can add the code through the 'Games' drop down menu or simply click on the 'ADD A GAME' button on the bottom left. Install this on your PC https://store.steampowered.com/about if you haven't already and then login to your account and activate the game that way.

I just remembered a very simple solution.
Just go to this page and enter the key.
