Logged in but Account not Verified

Last few days my Steam Account has been unable to download mods or do anything else that requires account verification. When accessing my profile page, the message I get is that my account is verifying, then it says error connecting to steam servers. After Logging out and logging back in, it asked me to verify my account with a code sent to my email, so I did and the issue was temporarily resolved for that day. Since then I've had no such luck logging out and back into my account. My PC is up to date and I haven't done anything new to steam, my PC, or my network in months.

Sounds like something is making that device look new to Steam.

And now the issue seems to have heightened, in that you cannot even log in, apparently.

So check your security programs and processes on your PC. It does not necessarily matter that you have not changed anything on the PC. Things can still change without you changing them. Make sure all security software and processes are leaving Steam and games totally alone in real time scanning.

Also, check browser security plugins and features.

One often-overlooked program that might be related to this is CCleaner. If it has monitoring mode set as active, that can be an issue with Steam. Disable that with CCleaner, or stop it from launching automatically on boot by using msconfig to do so, if that applies.

No changes after checking browser settings and following tips from the links. No extensions on Chrome, only security on my computer isn't doing anything to steam. Currently trying to mess with my steam guard settings, but it continuously assumes this is a new device, no matter how many times I add it as a device

This won't fix the issue, because the issue is not with Steam.

Let's see :

1. Take screenshots of all of the programs you have installed on your computer. Control panel then programs/programs and features. (Windows 7,8,8.1) or "apps" (Windows 10 click "Start" (Windows icon on bottom left))

2. Click Windows Start and type in msconfig and run that resulting process. Go to the services tab and check the box on bottom "Hide all Microsoft services". Take screenshots of all that is left.

3. Then go to the startup tab on top of that same window (Task Manager in W10). Expand the header on the left so we can best see the process name (small window, so do the best you can). Take screenshots of all that there also. Don't forget to scroll down if needed and get everything in the shots, please.
