How exactly did you uninstall the game ? Give details, please.
EDIT..I suspect this "may" be your problem. If Steam still sees the game as installed in your library (manually deleting files instead of using Steam to uninstall properly), then the content will of course continue to be added.
Space Engineers no longer appear as installed according to either Steam or Windows control panel.
But that does give me an idea: I have not checked the Windows registry to see if there are any remaining traces that Steam might be latching on to. Gonna try to do that now...
But again, may I ask why you said that suggesting to unsub from the content is not helpful ? You are sure you did that fully ?
Unsubbing from all the workshop content is a huge PITA. I do plan on reinstalling the bgame eventually, and I do not want the...well basically impossible task of re-finding alll the ship designs that I liked. If Steam had effective search then *maybe* it's a solution, but as it is a near garbage infinite, and once you unsubscribe to workshop content you may never find it again. And I really shouldn't have to resort to unsubbing.
I am almost sure it already exists, so please search before you decide to do that if you do. Sorry I could not help you otherwise.
I'm going through and unsubscribing for 131 workshop items now, as it appears to be my only option.

You can look there for possible help also, unless you have already.
