try to update your graphics drivers. this helped quite a few people in the cs:go forum just now.

All users with this error use Windows XP - it's discontinued OS - CSGO migrated on DirectX12 and Visual C++ 2017 + .net 4.6 - it can't be installed on XP

You can try install DirectX 12 offline from this site (im going to check it out, i have same problem) http://www.allandroidtools.com/2016/01/direct-x-12-free-download-for-windows-XP-7-8-And-10-32-And-64-Bit.html
Please, be sure that you know you are doing it on your risk! (I recommend backuping files)

Be glad, if it works ;)

The download that site is offering is DirectX 9.0c from June 2010. Directly from the Microsoft servers.
It's just a fake website to generate traffic and ad revenue.

So bye bye windows XP?
Cathulhu May 13, 2017 @ 9:33am
Yes.
Even Microsoft stopped supporting it years ago.
It was released 15 years ago. It is time to move on.

I checked the store page. It seems that XP is still listed there as supported. Does this mean the store page just needs to be updated perhaps ?

Win XP still supported - M$ released Wanna Cryptor 2.0 hotfix :sadelf:
