Untrusted system file (C:\Windows\System32\shell32.dll)
Hello, I have downloaded Paladin today and when I opened it and pressed it to play it showed me ,first,application error and then, Untrusted system file.what can i do??

It's a library file for your operating system that your programs use.
You can run the system file checker that verify the integrity of your system files. It will restore any corrupt file if any. To run it, you must open CMD with administrator priviliges, type in sfc /scannow and hit enter.

If you are running an antivirus or firewall make sure that steam games are whitelisted in it.

Right click - properties - Local files - browse local files -> EasyAntiCheat -> Delete Certificate folder. Profit.

After 2 days of powershell and god knows what tools this was all that was needed.:steamhappy:

It's been a weak of trying to find out why i kept getting this error and after hours of searching i found you... With a glimmer of hope and shaking hands, i tried your solution... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND now it tells me that my ''Authentication was timed out (1/2)''. So thanks fore trying but i still really want to play Rust
