A Steam Support Refund Transaction
I was going through the Steam Support to check on a game I had gotten refunded which hasn't been completed and it says the following:

"Steam approved your refund on Jul 1, 2017.
$23.99 will be refunded to your payment method
As Steam approved your refund request within 24 hours of purchase, the transaction was canceled. Your bank will most likely remove the pending authorization from your statement instead of showing a purchase and refund.
Please review your bank statement and verify that the original charge was removed.
If the charge is still present, your bank has not yet reconciled your account. This process is often quick, but can take 7 or more days depending on your bank.
If the charge does not drop off your bank statement, you will need to contact your payment provider to have them release the funds. Steam Support is not able to expedite this process."

What exactly does this mean? All I'm mostly seeing is that the transaction was canceled and is not being completed. I need some help here..

Refunding problem
So I had purchased the Rainbow Six Siege: Standard Pack for $23.99, on June 30th, and had played it for only 32 minutes. Problem was that I couldn't really run it, so I refunded and got the email saying it was refunded the next day, July 1st, but I'm still actually waiting for the money to process over. (Btw i bought it using a debit card) It's been 3 days and I'm beginning to worry more and more. What should I do?

Also, it's still in my library, but it's labeled as "purchase"

Another question... What does it mean by this? "You should see a credit or see the original charge removed from your statement within 14 days."

I have no clue where I should be looking!

You should be waiting for up to 14 days.

Ok I will wait up to 14, but if I don't get it, what should I do after?
Also, where do I find the "original charge in my statements"?

why did you delete and make a new thread?

you wait for the pending charge on your statement to go away.

Sounds like you refunded the game before the original payment went through. That means instead of giving you your money back, they don't take it in the first place. So it's up to your bank to release your funds back to you.

Because the other one was answered I suppose? I don't really know why after that... This is just all new to me, so yeah.

Do you think so? I had called with my bank and a representative had said that it's currently being waited to go through and is just sitting in "la la land", but it's not waiting to go through with my bank, but with the steam or something like that.

So I just need to keep waiting? I'm just trying to make sure, because if it's not going through for a reason other than that, then I'd like to fix it asap!

Please note: When a refund request is approved within 24 hours of the purchase, the original transaction is cancelled and the charge drops off your bank statement. In this case, you will not see a credit on your account. This process can take up to 10 days – wait time for international payment methods may vary.

What exactly does all of this mean? Like it dropping off my bank statement & not being able to see the credit on my account? I'm all relatively new to this so I'm trying my best to understand. If you could explain it, I'd greatly appreciate it!

the pending transaction goes away and the funds are released back to your account. they are only on a hold in your account right now.
