Ark Survival Evolved Download issues

I have been having some trouble downloading the patch 260.0 for Ark Survival Evolved. I have checked my band width and connection and even tested another download and everything runs exceedingly well up to 34MB/s, (usually around 5-10) until I try to download this patch. My download will peak at 1 MB/s (max, usually less) and decreases until it's downloading at less than 1 KB/s until it eventually just stops and does this again. over and over again. I have 7 GB to download and I can't wait "over 1 year until downloaded". I have already uninstalled steam and reinstalled everything as well as changed my region multiple times and cleared my cache. Ark is the only thing that isn't installing. I've tried just about every troubleshooting method I could findand nothing has worked... Steam support even recommended hiring a someone to look at it because they can't fix it. Help anyone?

Well I got all of that downloaded and It still isn't working. Thank you so much for all the help, I greatly appreciated it.

Sorry, but you don't just download drivers. You have to actually install them. Same for the BIOS if you go that route later.

You don't see sure that you have them fully up to date. I suggest you do make sure at some point. Maybe you are ok there now, but other issues can come up later if they are not up to date.

I installed everything even the BIOS... how would I check if I am up to date?

You should be able to go to device manager and compare the driver versions you have installed with the latest ones from ASRock. In the "properties" then "driver" windows under each device.

Or, use an ASRock Utility if available.

By the way, I see Norton there in the Utilities list of that board for downloads.

You don't by chance have Norton installed there do you ? If you do, please clarify.

Dude I'm having this exact same problem though, the most recent update keeps peaking at around 3.5 mb/s (which is normal for me at least) and then dropping and doing that over and over again. A friend of mine suggested going into Steam>settings>Downloads>Downloads region, and changing that as that regions server might be down or overloaded or something. But I haven't tried that yet, so maybe it'll work, maybe it won't. I'll keep an eye on this thread.

Yea, it is a huge game, and many may be trying to download it right now also. Not even taking into account the sale going on right now.

So change regions to many different places to fully test it. Try some on the other side of the Earth also, very far away from you.
