Steam games on microsd
I plan on getting a microsd card for my laptop for more space for games. If I install steam on the microsd will it also install games on there, and will I still be able to play them?

Steam doesn't play very well with removable drives. But sure, you can use them.

Is there a way I can have steam install games onto the microsd, instead of having steam on the card?

well technically yes but they are so slow espacially on msot laptops they stay far below the possible speed of the sd card thanks to the mlaptop motherboard controler. alot of laptop controlers limit the read and write speed at about 5-6MB/s not even coming close to the normal 120MB/s+ for the HDD's build in. So best would be to excahnge the drive of the laptop.

Some do it and it causes no issues or for a while at least. But using Steam and games from external drives is "not recommended".

External Hard Drives

External hard drives are not recommended for use with Steam or Steam's games. Aside from many potential performance issues, external hard drives may connect or disconnect from the computer at inopportune times as part of their normal operations. If you encounter this issue with an external drive, install Steam and your games to an internal drive instead.

yeah but we not just talk about an external hard drive we talk about a flash card with real low speed compared even to the crappiest HDD.

Basically the same thing. They are removable drives not directly hooked up to the motherboard.

Don't get me wrong, your points are strong also. Drives like that usually have very poor speed and don't perform well with some/most games. Thanks for that clarification, though.
