Exchange card for gems?
I got a trading card for purchasing a game during the summer sale. I noticed you can exchange your cards for gems. Should I exchange the card or keep it?

Do it if you want the 100 XP. Don't do it if you either want to use or sell the card.

Turning cards into gems generally destroys most of the value. You might do better either selling it on the market, trading it, or dumping it on the Steam Card Exchange bot so you can get a card for a game you want to craft a badge for.



Or you can collect the whole set, craft the badge, and turn the background/emoticon you get into 100 gems each.

I suggest you gem it only because it will help you get to level 5 quicker and be eligible for summer sale card drops from the discovery queue.
