There is nothing to fix. The link filter is working exactly as intended and correctly removing blacklisted shady sites people link to so others don't unwittingly fall victim to them.

I dont think you understand, every single website postfixed with that link is now blocked on steam requiring an absurd amount of server hosters to either rename their host to hosted.nfoservers.com edit their configs to appropriate that and go through a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of trouble just to fix something that likely wasnt even added intentionally.

Literally any link could be shady and adding a postfix for a domain itself is absolutely ridiculous especially for a webhoster as well known as nfo.

Not only does this compare to adding a filter to the word "gaming" to the list of blacklisted links but its not even a specific link or group of links that are known to be malicious.

I don't think you understand. See, Google drive is also blacklisted. Not because Google is untrusted but because it can be exploited and abused to spread malware.

So what your telling me is that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on everyones server configuration because they decide to remove a common website domain part is ok and shouldnt be given attention.

I know steam is pretty good at not making mistakes but i cant see this being intended.

At that point you might as well just make all links banned since you can just have any link you want to lure people into situations like that.

And whats the point in blocking something like this anyways when steam warns you in the first place when you click the link?
It looks like that filter has been in place for over a year. Why is this now an issue?

It has just now been applying to my server links and other people i know have encountered the same issue starting only today.
If i can find a picture or something showing that it was working yesterday i will post it.

Edit: In addition to this MY link was blocked and has been up for a total of 4 days i think now and just got blocked.
my FRIENDS link on his group page has been up since at least two months ago and is just now getting blocked as well.

I got to go to bed now, work in 4 hrs.

If i had to guess i would assume that if nobody has complained about this yet its because it hasnt actually applied the filter up until now.

Either way i would really appreciate it if someone could look into this, because it will just create unneccesary hassle for server admins/owners since they WILL just avoid the link removal in some way or another.
