Steam: York to Newcastle Modern
Hi guys

Rather new to Steam. I am running TS2017 through Steam on my PC. I have purchased various addons through Steam and TS2017 and all work great.

I recently purchased York to Newcastle Modern and even though the software seems to install sucessfully, I don't see it in Steam or TS2017.

Any advice on what I might be doing wrong would be appreciated.

Thanks
Gary

Have you tried restarting Steam?

In the library, when you have TS2017 selected and there's a DLC list, does it show up there and is the box next to it checked?

You can force the installation of the DLC by verifying game files.

Hi Snapjak

No it does not show in the TS2017 Steam Library list.

Thanks Venom

Would you mind giving me a little more information on how to do this please?

Right-click the game in your library and choose properties > local files > verify integrity of game files.

Hi Snapjak
But that's the problem, it doesn't appear in the Steam Library.

It's meant to be done on the TS2017 base game. The DLC will be listed in a box for it.

OP, who is the developer/maker of this route?

IMPORTANT do not do a Verify, you'll lose 3rd party stuff.

Just Trains... I purchased it through Simmarket

Hi Gary, I've only puchaced Just Trains DLC direct from them so I'm guessing here. Down at the bottom left of this page is + ADD A GAME tab. Press that and follow the instructions.

Routes and DLC from Just Trains will not show on your Steam list. Only things actually bought from Steam show there but they are installed into your Railworks folder which is on Steam.

Look for the scenarios that come with the route by opening TS to main menu then Drive, Standard. There are NO Creer scenarios. The route should also show in QD and Free Roam.

Hope this helps.

EDIT. Just remembered, you will need the European Loco & Asset pack for it to display correctly. If you don't have this you can get it from Steam store. Maybe that's your problem???

Kind of an elephant in the room question but was this route developed from scratch? If not you may require the original ECML(N) DLC.

The only thing needed to run it is the European loco & Asset Pack.

I think that is the workshop version you are thinking of. The JustTrains oe only needs EU Loco and Asset pack. Please correct me if I am wrong though :)
