Steam is downloading multi-gigabyte updates for half of my games.
Here's a screenshot of the random games it decided to "update":
It's a Google Drive link.[drive.google.com]
Yeah, my internet is awful, that's why this is a huge problem.
Things I've tried:
Clearing download cache
Restarting Steam
Trying to open the games from their executables
Face-mashing my keyboard

Edit
Note that the games that say 0 bytes out of 0 bytes just haven't initialized the download yet.
That happens every time I try to download something, and as far as I can tell, it doesn't cause any problems.

Edit 2: I had already almost finished Space Engineers' update, but this shows that it shows update size correctly after it starts them.[drive.google.com]

I play online at (almost) all times, and these games ran just fine a few days ago, so I don't think it's file corruption.

Edit: Everything was reset to 0 bytes when I cleared download cache, but if they start downloading, it is displayed correctly.

Then try uploading a screenshot that reflects that.

...I see maybe a total of 1 GB between two games as the ones in your screenshot are mostly 0 bytes.

If an update has been detected, you can't run the game until the update has been done.

Updates haven't been released for most of these games. These aren't normal updates, these games shouldn't have any new updates to download.

Just because it was not announced, does not mean there are not updates. It may also be an update to the Steamworks part of the games.

Still doesn't answer how it is multi-gigabyte when all but two show as 0 bytes and the only two only show about 1.1 GB total.

Also, if you have been playing in off-line mode for awhile, then it could be older updates and if damaged/corrupt files were found, it will redownload them.
