"Can I transfer my authenticator to my new phone?"
Yes, you can.
To transfer your authenticator to a new phone, you'll need access to the phone number associated with your account (so we can send you a text message to confirm it's you).
From the Steam Mobile app on your new device, try to log into your account. When the app asks for your authenticator code, select "Please help, I no longer have access to my Mobile Authenticator codes." Follow the steps the app provides and you can either transfer your authenticator to the new device or remove it from the previous device.
After transferring the authenticator, any new trades or market listings will be held for a couple of days to protect your items in case your authenticator is ever transferred by a malicious person. See our Trade Holds FAQ for more information about trade holds.
First, did you disable the mobile authenticator on the old phone ?
OR
Did you transferr the mobile authenticator to the new phone instead ?
You would have an email saying it was disabled, if so.
I posted the information on that above. Do you not get a message in the market when you make a listing telling you how long the holds will be ?
If you did transferr it actually, the holds are only a "couple of days".
An SMS code has been sent to your phone to remove or replace the Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator on your account.
If this is you, enter the SMS code into the Steam dialog or mobile device that is requesting it.
If you did not perform this action, please follow the link below to lock your account and submit a request for assistance.
I'm really sorry for wasting your time, I'm just... eh
