Hey i have problem my friend cant send me a gift card but we are friend since 10th October 2019 so it shouldnt be a problem right ? I am thinking it could be because i just changed region so i need to wait 48hr before being able to redeem gift card so i am asking if i am right or not ?

What country are you in, and what country is your friend in?

There are MANY regions you cannot transfer between, so please answer the two questions.

You are mistaken. There is no such restriction for digital gift cards. The restriction is must be Steam friends for 3 days and that is it.

OP... Changing your region might be the cause for a different restriction. I don't know how long that one is since you are the first I've seen to have recently changed regions before wanting to receive a digital gift card.

Yeah, there's a number of restrictions, mostly because of exchange rates to prevent fraud and such.

Also, there's other restrictions like if you're in Saudi Arabia or UAE, you won't be able to transfer money to ANYONE outside your country.

So, if you do have issues, you're far better off finding another way. Like Paypal or a prepaid debit card.
