every game stuck at 1024x768 resolution

Each game i start on my computer is stuck and cant be changed from 1024x768 when my monitor is 1920x1080 any known fixes ?

Set the right resolution in windows.
In games also set the right aspect ratio.

If that does not show the right choices (at least not 4:3), what games?

If you're using Windows 10, it by default chooses to select whatever your desktop resolution is (unless you change the settings in Windows itself).
