Refund because game went on sale 3 days later
So Payday 2 went on sale 3 days after I bought it taking 25 dollars off the original price.

The thing is I already have 13.3 hours as I really enjoy the game.
However since I am in College any money I can save I gotta at least try to save.

I was wondering if it is at all likely that I could get my refund so I could rebuy for the sale price.

No, because you have too much playtime. The limit is 2 hours on playtime. You are way over that.

Your chances are extremely low, I would even say close to zero. Since you've gone over the 2 hour limit by over 10 hours.

There are users with 4 hours who have had their refunds denied. 13 hours is extremely unlikely to get a refund.

with this particular rule, you can generally get a refund up to 6 hours, But not 13 (or anything 10 or above for that matter)

Not, "generally", no.

Rarely maybe ?

If a game for instance, goes on sale 1 day later, and you have 6 hours played, they will honor the request, I've never had it fail for that, even 2 days later with 5-6 hours. One time with 8, Never with 10 or above.

That is up to Valve, they still can say "no" with more than 2 hours of playtime.

The last time you posted something like this, we asked for proof and I don't think you ever replied.

Sale or no sale, 6 hours and the user is extremely unlikely to get a refund. Being on sale is irrelevant. Playtime and time owned is always considered, no matter when the request takes place.

EDIT.....

Found it !!

That was quite a claim you made about refunds in that thread also.

yep, but from my experience they honor the request, if they don't then I don't put it in a 2nd time but i'd say 4/5 times if it's a sale and 6 hours or under(and the sale was posted near immediately after purchase), you can refund, but definitely not with 13 like OP.

Is there a reason you're intentionally spreading misinformation here?

Here's a few examples that prove your theory(and that's all it is as you clearly don't have any clue what you're talking about) completely wrong:

Countless others if you care to search, but everyone but you here will get my point.

You've been using Steam for 6 years and you still haven't learned to wait for a sale? This one's on you. You should have known better.

I honestly don't care too much. It's not that big of a deal, I just wanted to know if I could. I really don't know why you had you go through pages of a forum just to be a prick. Especially since everyone here has been so nice, despite the seemingly obvious answer.
