Will this potato run GMod or CSS?
I will be buying an Acer Aspire 3680, and it has an Celeron M 420 (nice), 2GB RAM, Intel GMA950. I seen games being run on an GMA950.

I would say a hard no. A computer that old? You'd have been hard pressed to run the game IN 2006 when it was new...
Yeah, low fps but it will run

Why on earth would you be buying a 14 year old computer?

It MIGHT. But that's a big might.

It's obviously WAY WAY underpowered, but just because some games run on the Intel GMA chipset, the thing is that they're not supported, so you can get them to run, you can get them to sometimes run, or you can get them to flat out refuse to run. Because they're not supported, that's kind of the point.

But even then, assuming it can run, it will not run well. You will be needing to put graphics setting s WAY down and may still get an abysmal framerate.

Zekiran makes a fair point though - why ARE you buying a piece of trash like this? It's virtaully worthless. If you're paying more than scrap value, you're being conned.

I wouldn't call this playable.

Crap. What's the framerate measured in? Calendar months?

Being poor is missing the point.

The question why are you buying a piece of trash for bottom dollar when you can get better for the same money?

This system is WAY WAY out of date to the extent that newer systems than it are also worth trash value. Why aren't you going for the best you can for trash values?|

That's the point.

There's also the obvious point about being poor - I'm disabled and have been for over 25 years. My ONLY income has been disability benfits and I had to bring up a family on that. So I know all about being poor.

And yet I play on as many platforms as I can (I have over 70) and have thousands of games. Being poor is not an excuse to entry for gaming as it's one of the cheapest hobbies tere are. You just sound like you're wasting your money.
