This account appears to have been used for fraudulent activity.
Anyone know what happen? I just purchase the Dota 2 battlepass with buyer with the same price. After a day, it was coming this message and i saw the purchase history it was refunded back to the bank account.

The steam was contact me like this:
You arranged for funds to be added to your Steam account by a third party.

Never allow anyone else to use your account. You are responsible for the actions of anyone using your account.

All of the funds you received from this arrangement were obtained through fraud. As a result, the account will not be unlocked.

In addition to violation of contract, these activities may violate state and federal laws. Valve reserves the right to refer the matter to the appropriate authorities.

Best Regards,
Gabriel X.

Sounds like you got scammed by the seller and paid the price for it. You can try contacting Support but fraud is fraud.

This>You arranged for funds to be added to your Steam account by a third party.<< being the seller you bought the battle pass from.

I think the message from steam support already answer your question clearly. Is there a part you do not understand yet?

Here a few questions for you.

1. Where you reading this from exactly?

If from email, what their email address that shows to you?

If from account RED sign alert, when you launch Steam on your system, then that would be from Steam support that flag your account.

If you got message when you contacted supported by ticket, then means they're aware of what you did, and caught doing something you shouldn't have been doing.

2. You purchase Dota 2 battlepass from someone, did you you gave someone access to your account, and/or used their credit card, or bank transfer? It's a good chance they did a chargeback as fruad on you.

.

There have been at least a dozen of these in the days since that battlepass dropped. Instant scam.

i'm also a victim of this incident , i belived there's more out there who have their account locked too. Steam support really takes time to reply but i realize that its like automated message. because they always reply the same message. also the way of their reply is so casual its like they never take this case seriously and decided to lock or not based on recently activity .

See that last part ? If they really wanted to, they could pursue you legally, and have a very good case to do so.

It clearly says you violated the contract (SSA) and so the account is locked permanently.

You agreed to these terms and then you violated them. They have full rights to do what they have done.
