Some drives can be quite noisy, even between the same models there can be stark differences.
But clikcing of any kind means one thing only - it's failing.
What you have to do is clear - get all the data off you can RIGHT NOW. Back it up or move it somehwere else.
You said it's knocking and making that indistinct beeping sound.
It';s failing. I know exactly what that sound is.
I can alaso tell you how it';ll go from here. It'll worsen. The cknocking becomes a more apparent clicking and gets more frequent.
As I said you don't need to. I know EXACLTY the sound, as I just described it further, didn't I?
It's a very indistinct gentle knocking, an almost click but not quite, couple with a really quiet squeak or beep almost.
And it's failing. Face it. I know you obviously don't want to hear it, but there's no way around this.

I'll say it again. I know.
If it's really quiet but exactly like the normal sounds there, then that's OK.
But the fact that you noticed it and haven't got your ear pressed up against it along with the squeak means your hard drive is faliing.
There's no way to twist this to get the answer you want.
