I guess you mean it's not formatting for FAT32.
You can do so, and it MIGHT work, but it will undoubtedly break in fairly short order, as SD cards aren't meant for the rapid back and forth of writing and readin that games files have done to them. It will break it.
There was one poster who suffered this issue only this week on here.
Get yourself a hard drive or delete some files to make space.
You can, but as I said you're making it do something it isn't built for and it WILL break - how soon, I can't say.
They are intended for portable storage. Not for swapping files back and forth as a regular hard drive does. Solid state tech (which is what SDcards and SSDs are) are not as reliable for repeated read/write cycles. SSDs have come on great steps because there's tricks involved to mitigate it, but the point is SDcards don't as that's not what they're for.
It's rather like burning an album onto CD and repeatedly playing it. You will see no deterioration. But cutting it to record or recording to tape and repeated play WILL deteriorate. There's no way round it.
So yes, it CAN be made to kind of work, but you will likely get instability, or it'll just break, which is just a waste of time and money.
your best bet is to just delete files you don't need on your main hard dirve, or just buy an external hard drive. I bought a 1TB USB hard dirve for £40 a few weeks ago. They work great.
No the same applies. They are solid state storage that is not setup for repeated read and write cycles.
ANYTHING without physical mechanical drives in or isn't specificaly stated as an SSD will not suffice. You'll have the same problems.
You have one solution then, basically. Buy another hard drive, as that SSD won't cut it. A Maxthon or Seagate (or any other manufacturer) external USB hard drive can be bought pretty cheaply new from sites like Amazon. I gave the example of the 1TB for about £40.
If you're going to play games, you're going to HAVE to buy one anyway, as there's no other way.
You could POSSIBLY, but it will break your SD card and won't last. It likely won't work properly for long anyway.
THese cards are NOT DESIGNED for this.
YOu need a new hard drive. That's it. There is no way to spin this to get the answer you want. Reality doesn't changeif you ask a question differently.
HOWEVER, if Steam EVER runs without the card being inserted, it WILL assume that you uninstalled the game. Steam doesn't support removable drives in any way.
Buy a 2tb external drive. They're like 50 bucks. If your computer ONLY has a 32 gigabyte *storage drive* that cannot be removed or upgraded, what EXACTLY kind of computer do you HAVE?
Because I can almost guarantee it won't run games at all.
