.dll and VAC Question...
There's a game called Divinity Original Sin 2 and people can create MODs to play with. There's a MOD that requires to download and install a .dll file into the DOS II folder, but I'm a player who loves to play CS:GO, if you check out my profile you will see I have more than 5,700 hours of gameplay.

There's no VAC Shield on DOS II but there is VAC Shield on CS:GO and I know how VAC works, I know if I change a .dll file VAC will ban me, but I'm not sure if changing a .dll about another game, into another game file can give me the ban or not.

The thing is that I'm not sure if I could get a VAC Ban on CS:GO if I play DOS II with this file, is that possible?

What is VAC?

VAC stands for Valve Anti-Cheat, an automated system designed to detect cheats installed on users' computers. If a user connects to a VAC-Secured server from a computer with identifiable cheats installed, the VAC system will ban the user from playing that game on VAC-Secured servers in the future.

The VAC system reliably detects cheats using their cheat signatures. Any third-party modifications to a game designed to give one player an advantage over another is classified as a cheat or hack and will trigger a VAC ban. This includes modifications to a game's core executable files and dynamic link libraries.

So since you won't be connected to a VAC secure server while playing Divinity Original Sin 2, then that should not cause a VAC ban.

AS LONG AS that .dll file will not be detected in use when you connect to a VAC secure server for CSGO, that is. I would be also concerned with the source of the download, personally.
If this ".dll" you're downloading doesn't affect other games, or isn't some kind of cheating software that hooks into other games, then you're fine. If this is some kind of cheating software that hooks into other games beyond the game folder, then that's not something you want on your system at all, and should be worry more than just getting VAC. Just my two cents.

As the The Giving One explain it perfectly. ensure you read his whole post, and re-read it as many times if needed to understand clearly.
