need to change gender on steam

i have recently downloded the game RUST, apparently the gender your character gets assigned is based on your steam aount ID, so since i am a male and registered as a male, i have no idea why i keep getting female character when the game uses steam ID to dictate your gender... please help me change my gender on steam or i will refund the game, as i get bullied even more for playing as female character.. please help

It's not just that mate, players do care about their avatars, it's got nothing to do with gender snowflakes (who are balloon-knots at the best of times!).....

In my case, I would like customization - I just don't like looking at my character - looks like a very young, black female (actually looks WAY too young).....not something I associate my broken, white, old-age body with :)

The only people who care about their avatars are not equipped to play this game. This game is not for you. Get a refund.
