Upgrading a gifted game from base to deluxe

If someone gifts you a base game that has other editions that include seasons passes or things as a bundle, can you upgrade the gift to the deluxe edition by paying the difference between the base and the bundle?

Depends on if it is a tailored bundle or not.

And depends if such an option exists. It's something that you'll be able to find on the game's store page. If you can't see that options listed as DLC or whatever, then it don't exist.
