[HELP] Error 0xc000007b on most games.
Hey, ive been stuck with this error for like 2 months. Everytime i run games like GTA V, FIFA 19, Halo The Master Chief Collection, RDR2 i get an error 0xc000007b. I even did a clean factory reset for my pc, so it uninstalled everything and installed a fresh windows again, still didnt work.
Ive tried everything i could find:

Try reinstalling the application
Download .Net Framework
Run the Applications as Administrator
Install the Latest Updates for drivers
Install DirectX
Install Microsoft Visual C++
Try to Run the Application Using the Compatibility Mode
Verify System File Corruption
Update Windows
Factory reset my pc.

Post the specs to the PC.

Go to "Help" in the top of Steam. Then system information. Right click, select all, then copy and paste all of that here.

Also, I see you said you did a reset, but then did you also reinstall/reupdate all of the system drivers, and not just the OS ?

We will have a look at those for a moment so meanwhile, I see many Steam search results for that error. Did you look through any of these ?

Steam says you have three GPUs being detected.

That might be part of the issue. I would suggest you try this with just the dedicated GTX 1060 and see if the issue persists.

Then I would suggest you use device manager or the BIOS and force the GTX 1060 to be the only card being used and test this again. Also, it has to be said, but be sure you have your display hooked up to the 1060 and not any other on board output for a GPU.

I can check your motherboard specs, but that is probably one of the ones being detected.

My device manager shows i only have 1 gpu and thats the gtx one, and its plugged in the gtx 1060, i dont own any other cards

Well, I can't say that the system information is not making some kind of mistake, but you still need to take into account why it might be reporting that you have three GPUs.

Did you ever have a different GPU installed before the Nvidia card ? Like a AMD card maybe ?

Also, feel free to look through the search results anyway while the thread continues.

I prefer to make sure my only one GPU is forced in the BIOS as the one that will be used. Should be a setting in there for primary display on PCIe. You would have to check the manual for your board, or look at it from a .pdf that is probably available on Gigabyte's official website.

How did Windows 10 get on that computer, if you know ? Did you buy it that way or did you install Windows 10 on it yourself ?

And if you know, was it a fresh, clean install of that OS from a total reformat or clean partition ?

What do you mean that you have "tried" ? Can you give more details to that please ?

Did you upgrade from an older Windows without doing a reformat when you installed Windows 10 on it ?

Or did someone else install Windows 10 on it ?
