Moving a steam game to a different drive QUESTION
Hello everyone,

Hope someone can shed some light on this for me.

I'm planning to move Total War: Warhammer 2 from my HDD to SDD because I'm craving for shorter load times.
I found a guide how to do it. I need to create a new option for install folders via steam and use the MOVE FOLDER function.

As it is I have a lot of mods installed via workshop for this game. When I move the game using the move folder function how does this work with accessing mods? Does steam download my workshop content automaticly on the new drive aswell?
I really hope someone can shed some light on this for me.
I never used this function before.

Thank you.

It should move everything across within the game folder.
If your subscribed to them in workshop they will still be there.

Move or make a backup of the Appmanifest .acf file associated with the game also.

This is what I found and will be using to move the game:

However, all the mods for this game I downloaded via the workshop are downloaded on the old HDD in the workshop folder in the steam folder.

Which means the mods are not located in the game folder

So I used the button and wanted to let you know.
The game was moved to my other drive, surprisingly all my downloaded workshop content moved over too.
Loading time is merely 20% of what it used to be.

Oh, and all files on your other drive are automatically removed. So no duplicate installations.
