The payment processor has reported an authorization failure. Please select a different payment method.
Been having this problem all day. Was able to make one purchase 12 hours ago, but throughout the day I have been getting this message, and thus having failed transactions due to this. I don't know if this has to do with steam servers or not, but I know I have enough money to waste. I just want to buy some dlc and a couple other games. Why doesn't steam want my money?

The error message suggests your bank is not authorizing the charge. That would be where I'd start.

You should be expecting a response upwards of a few days, for the reasons they've posted about.

On my last purchase I was not able to pay with PayPal, though on Fanatical there was zero issue paying with this method...

Which demonstrates nothing.

They're going to be FAR less busy than Steam. You have to remember everybody is at home at the moment, and services like STeam and Netflix will be hit HARD.

Indie games sites like Fanatical won't.

Did the transaction fail?

If yes, the funds haven't been used and are only on a temporary hold which will be released back to you in a few days.

The funds haven't been used and are only on a temporary hold which will be released back to you in a few days, depending on your bank.

Hi I need help when purchasing it said it failed but still took the money out of my account. I've have done this twice and the same thing happens. Will this transaction be refunded as their pending?
