Posting a link in a discussion I'm very active on one time for the first video I've done for the game is hardly spamming.
One is advertising and the other is not.
For example only...."How to Instal Steam"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFwoMNJtOW8
Not that I would follow that or not follow it. This is just an example.
So this thread is not "post your vid here". But my video is on topic with a thread that would be about installing Steam, again just as an example.
To answer this, I would say it should be simple. You can post links to videos as we have discussed here so far, but not links to your channel that contains such videos. Does that clarify it ?
You can easily enough get your message and points across without including yourself/your channel/your website in the passing on of the information. Hope that helps.
Step two I started a new thread "Short Combat Videos" and posted a link in that original topic to my video.
Step three I was immediatly chewed out for it.
Again I understand why it's against the rule but I see people all the time starting new topics
"New video series" or what have you and posting a link. Pretty much the same thing I did but no problem for them. I spend many hours on duscussion boards just reading and putting in my help where I can while videos are processing.
I deleted the thread right away because I'm looking to make videos and have fun not start fights with strangers.
Just please say if it was a moderator or regular users. We cannot discuss moderation, please.
Game fourm moderators are not to be confused with regular Steam forum moderators, though.
Game developers appoint their own mods. Steam mods are appointed by Valve and are volunteers.
