HELP: CS:GO STUCK AT INSTALLING
I have tried to download CS:GO over five times now. Every time it will say it has finished (5.4/5.4 GB) and be stuck at installing for a few minutes until it goes back a few MB's (5.3/5.4 GB or even 5.2/5.4 GB) and try to download again.
I have tried the following ways to fix this issue:

- Clear download cache
- Change download regions
- manually install DirectX
- Re-downloaded the game
- uninstalled steam and installed again
- Verify integrity of game cache

I have also noticed that in the CS:GO common file there is only a file called 'installscript.vdf'

i downloaded 'Unturned' to see whether the problem also occurred but the game successfully downloaded and was playable.

Please help and thank you in advance :)

What is your operating system ? (Example Windows 7 32 bit)

Are you using a router ?

What is your antivirus program ?

Do you have other security software installed other than antivirus ?

That user above that said "had this problem" is trolling you. It is their first post. You can ignore them if they don't actually offer any helpful advice.

My operating system is Windows 10 Education 64 bit.

I recently reset my PC due to this issue so i don't have any antivirus and firewall is off.

I am using a router.

Post the model number and model of that computer. If it is custom built, then post the exact motherboard instead, please.

The best way to make sure your connectivity is not the issue, is to bypass the router and use ethernet only. This does not address the disk write issue probably, but it can address the download issue.

What is the total size of the drive where you are installing CSGO and how much free space is left on that drive ?

Have a look at the title of this thread linked below, and read that very carefully concering the disk write error. Read it very carefully, please. Be sure you follow the steps exactly.

The "tiny, strange file disk write error thread".

My PC is custom built. The motherboard is ASRock H110M-HDS LGA1151 Mirco-ATX Motherboard.

The total size of the disk is 1.81 TB with 1.80 TB free.

I looked at the thread and i don't see any blank white files for CS:GO.

The very fact that you don't know means they surely need to be updated. Especially if you just got the computer. New computers often need more attention than ones already long in use.

I suggest you download the latest version of each and every driver there (Except the Nvidia GPU one) and install them.

Next, we need you to post screenshots of all of your installed programs on that computer. Each and every program, please.

That is how you should not be doing it, unless you manually download the device drivers from ASRock, open them up if they are .zip files or .rar files ( I don't know as I have not downloaded them), and manually tell Windows to use those when you update them.

The right way is to just download the latest versions of the drivers and manually install them.

Is that seriously all the programs you have installed on that computer ? I don't even see device drivers for audio or anything, where that would normally apply.

Yea, you need to update/install the device drivers there.

Don't use that. The most recent drivers are on the official website. That disk may be months/years old.

After updating drivers: 9
