I have over 100 random games on my steam library, how do I remove them and why are they there?
So i have maybe 10 games from steam, only 4 or 5 of which i play and they have been the only games on my steam library forever. Now I log onto steam and I have over 100 random games I have never heard of on my library? Why??? And how do I remove them?

all f2p games you ever tried are added to your account permanently now. Much needed QOL :D

Pretty sure that F2P games only show up in your library if you have them installed, but someone should correct me if I am wrong.

you can select the HIDE option to make the games stop showing. you can also put them in their own little collection if you want to keep the clutter down.

dont bother wasting time with the "Permanently Delete" option, that is just the HIDE feature with more steps and more risk of you adding the same game twice to the account by mistake.

Changed a while ago, sometime in 2019 I believe. All F2P games are licensed to your account immediately now so you can find them easier.

See https://imgur.com/1UfWUTr to see a lot of uninstalled F2P games I never spent a dime in.

Thanks and I thought that was the way it worked before people complained so much about them showing up. Hmmm...thanks for the correction.

It was the inverse, people were pouty because we'd lose F2P games and have to navigate back to store page to download them, so now they're licensed to the account the moment you hit install even if you don't install it.

I see. I think it is time to kindly bow out today and play some games, as apparently, my head is not working correctly. :steamhappy:

Thanks again.
