How do I check the battery on my DS4?

I don't wanna overcharge or let the controllers die off completely

You can't overcharge it as the controller will simply stop accepting the charge when full.

There is no way to tell how close you are to the controller dying when using Steam. I am unsure about other 3rd party ways.

I plug my DS4 into a charger when not in use, so it always has a full charge.

I think you can use the program Ds4Windows to check it.

You can't overcharge it, though. It simply stops charging when it's full.

Yeah about that. I have a 3rd party ps4 controller. It's really good It has gyroscope and everything works as it should but I dont know if its gonna stop charging when its full.

I meant 3rd party as in 3rd party programs. Mine is an Official DS4 as I have a PS4 and 4 controllers. Figure I have one laying round, so may as well.
