Steam bot changing the actual trade without none of the partners knowledge
My friend sended me a trade for a skin just to see whats happening the trade between us and as i expected the trade went awful wrong. I did not accept by my steamguard and yet the trade hasint been sucessful. Its still on my trade offers. So here goes the story, my friend send me a couple cent worth of a skin and as before i was accepting it, the steamguard showed me that one item of my inventory was on the trade (requested from steambot) and from his view, he only could see that the steambot for trade offer was only his ( the "couple cent worth" skin). So if i had accepted through steamguard, one item from my inventory would had been gone and none of us know where the bot was taking the trade to! Im worried and concerned about this due to the value of my inventory. Im afraid that ill lost my skins to steambot if i accept any trade! Please help me

Whos item is being gifted? Yours or his?

From what you posted, it sounds like both of your accounts are compromised.

Both of you follow the steps...

Scan for malware. https://www.malwarebytes.com/

Deauthorize all devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage

Change your password on a secure device.

Generate new back up codes. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage

Revoke the api key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

which ever one of you is having their trades altered, do the following.

Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
Change passwords from a clean computer
Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App
Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY, that is how they are controling the trades)

There is no Steam Bot.

Follow the advice as given above, by Wolf Knight and cSg|mc-Hotsauce.

Don't trade anything else and you and your friend need to crack on and complete the steps provided above in order and in full. You have sites linked to phishing in your name history.

we told you what needed to be done. go thru the list again, do it one line at a time, do not skip any steps.

no one on the forum can help you, we can only tell you what you need to do to fix the problem
scammed items are not returned.

after you get this fixed, figure out how you gave away your log in and STOP IT

3 shady 3rd party sites in the name history it's not hard to see how it happened
