Steam causes 100% disk usage (freezes my PC)
Every time I try to run Steam, I instantly get 100% disk usage and my PC freezes, I have to do a full reboot so it can start operating normally again.
This isn't just on steam, it also happens to Firefox, Chrome, Edge, and now even sometimes on my internet explorer, seems like more and more apps are being effected.
This started after I reformated my pc a year ago.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Are you sure the HDD is the cause for this problem?
And how will replacing it with a SSD fix an internal issue??

Seems like that might be a good idea.

EDIT...

Also, your post above does not indicate that you reinstalled all device drivers after that reformat. We don't 'know your OS or your exact computer/motherboard, so we cannot look that up for you.
