How about a big prompt on the homepage letting us know it's down? A twitter update at least? What the ♥♥♥♥ is this?
I am, and I can't. There is no 'start in offline mode', there is only 'retry connection'. Not even if I unplug the ethernet cable.
They could have done this during times of low usage, such as the middle of the night, or the middle of the workday. Not early evening when everyone is at home and wanting to play games. They could have brought a backup server online just for logins, but didn't. This was a deliberate choice.
Before today, I was happy to rely on Steam for PC gaming. Now? I'm wondering if Epic has a point. I'm wondering if I should branch out and get games that don't rely on a single point of access.
I'm wondering if there's a helpline I can call up to berate them for their terrible customer service.
