Can't access Sekiro, Steam says it's not available in my territory but I was already playing it
So I bought a key for Sekiro from GreenManGaming a few days after launch. I got my key, activated it on Steam without issue, but I noticed it said it was activated as "Region 2." I paid it no mind as the game activated, downloaded, and installed without a single issue. When I go to run the game, Steam says it is not available in my territory.

Remembering the "Region 2" prompt, I checked up on what that meant. It's Latin America, where I am, as I'm from Puerto Rico. In the GreenManGaming store page, it says that the game will activate in my region, and in the list of countries it will activate in is indeed Puerto Rico. I look around Steam support, and it recommends I clear my download cache in the settings and try changing my download region. I do both of these. Steam defaults my download region to US - Miami and there is no specific option for Puerto Rico.

I change my download region to Argentina and voilá, the game runs fine. I happily played for about two days, no issues, loving the game. Today, I fire up my PC, run Sekiro, and guess who's back? "Sekiro is not available in your region." I try changing my region again, nothing. I change my region back to US - Miami in case something had changed. Nope. I clear my download cache again, and nothing. Change my region to Bolivia, and Argentina again. Dead air.

So now I can't access my game, which already activated and installed without issues, and was already running just fine, and can't find any answers. The refund window for GreenManGaming has closed since I activated the product. GreenManGaming is a legitimate site, so you can imagine my frustration, especially after having played the game with no problems. Please, anything that could help would be appreciated. I really don't want to just accept that my $56 went down the drain because of back-end bullcrap.

If you buy a game on GMG then you need to ask them, Steam get nothing from your sale.

"What happens if I have redeemed a region restricted gift and cannot play it?
You will need to purchase this product from your current location without using a VPN/proxy or obtain a copy that is sold within your country of residence. If you are unable to complete a purchase on the Steam store, please contact Steam Support."

Your problem is either with GMG or your willingness to read.

So, you used a VPN to activate a game that has a region restriction on it?

Trust me bud, I read. The problem I'm having is, I didn't do anything wrong from the start. I hadn't changed my store country or download region, and the game activated and ran initially. It might come out to be some weird geographical reason, but I hope not.

Nope, never used a VPN at any moment. As I said, the game activated with no issues.

Steam won't help you because you didn't buy it from steam, you bought it from greenmangaming.

I get that. But since everything was fine initially, I'm hoping to run into someone who's had a similar problem, which is why I took to the forums. Again, I don't want to have thrown money away.

Contact GMG and have them give you a proper working product key. You've bought the game from them, not Steam.

Are you using a VPN? If so, I suggest turning it off as your IP may be routed through the wrong region.

Then check where your IP says you are coming from:
https://www.iplocation.net/

If you are not using a VPN, your connection may be routed by your ISP to somewhere out-side the region.
