If you have family view enabled, disable it.

It's working with Family View if you give access to «Friends, chat and groups» while in Family View.
I'm also sent request to valve support about this issue.
How did discord make a flawless upload system day 1 but yet valve can't do basic fixes. I mean come on guys, I know you're an indie studio but it makes me sad

You're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ right I'm bumping this, stop showing me 50 different errors to upload ONE image, speaking of which you can only upload one image at a time lol, disappointing

That's a terribly flawed assessment, as it just does not work like that.

Discord maybe (or maybe not) had that happen, but that's because they start out at rock bottom with the least amount of subscribers and therefore usage. Servers work according to the usage - little usage, they toddle along fine generally. Over usage and they will trip up even if they are in good shape.

Plus, we're still in the midst of the pandemic and more and more people are getting bored and resorting to playing games. The congestion on here has been immense for weeks. NO servers can deal with that flawlessly.

Also, Valve are currently doing some sort of backend work changing their content providers for certain things (like the emjoi stuff) to Cloudflare from Akamai previously. There have been hiccups with this, so it wouldn't surprise me that this has affected things also.

Bottom line - you can't pile all the blame on something you clearly don't fully understand. Servers just don't work like you seem to think they do.

Lastly, please don't bump threads - being mad, whether justified or not, isn't a reason to break the rules here. It';d only add to your frustration if the mods came and sat on you.

Quite the apologist I see, defending Steam this hard is pretty moot point, Pet Sharpie is not wrong, Steam has rolled out all these updates but the client is so buggy and broken, Pet Sharpie is not wrong at all, You however, after glancing through your steam and comments you made on Steam seem to make a habit of arguing with people, whether you know what you are talking about or not, here is a bit of advice, if you have no way to help the people having an issue and only go to a forum to start ♥♥♥♥ with people, not to actually help anyone, then stay off the forums.
Also please stop using Covid as an excuse for everyone not to do their job.

I'm sorry but you're making some terribly flawed assumptions there.

Starting with "I always argue with people". Nope, I don't.. I deal with facts and evidence and have a big thing about dispelling myths and bad thinking (as they tend to travel well). Nothing changes that, but some people love to argue when they're clearly in the wrong - so should I back down? That's ridiculous.

And besides, CLAIMS ALWAYS STANDA ON THEIR OWN MERITS. Doesn't matter who says them, why, when or how.

Second, I'm not defending Valve. I'm explaining the reason THEY HAVE CLEARLY STATED is the problem. They are made in China and it is correct and they're not blathering because there have been many other companies that have goods made in china disrupted - I've seen it first hand with ordering electronic components myself.

So can the silliness and by all means if you diasagree PRESENT EVIDENCE TO COUNTER ME.

Wheelding and dodging does not work.
