group notifications?

ive tryed everything yet i still get group notifications did they compleatly take away the options to disable them

Yes they did. I have been harping about it since it was in the beta.

well that sux guess im gonna have to either cope with it or just leave all my groups cause i get a notification like every 5 seconds

if you exit steam and then create a steam shortcut in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\" place and click properties on the shortcut and then type in, where it says 'Target:': "-nofriendsui" with the quotation marks and apply it and re-open steam, the Friends option in settings, the place where you would disable the notifs, re-appear again and then you will be able to disable group notifications again.

Work arounds that have you log out/in is not having it in the settings menu whenever you want to change them.

This is so stupid.

I indeed just left all groups that post event notifications, because it really breaks the immersion when they pop up while I'm playing some highly atmospheric game.
