I bought a GTA V key on G2A for the rockstar launcher and now it says ''Play on steam'' and I cant start the game.

On my main acc I have GTA on steam. I bought a mod menu for gta and dont want to get banned so I bought a GTA key for the rockstar launcher and now it says ''Play on steam'' and when I press it they send me to the steam shop for gta and I dont have Gta on this acc. So Im wondering what I should do to play the game without steam and only rockstar launcher.

you have to buy GTA V on steam to have it on your steam account. if you didnt buy it on steam, you have to use the Rockstar Launcher, not steam.

did you activate the key on your social club account that is not connected to steam?

I bought it on r* launcher. So do I have to buy it again on Steam? (This is my main acc)

If you want to play it on Steam, yes.

the fact that you bought it from a grey market is not a good sign......you should avoid that site, there is a reason they can sell keys so cheap, and its not a good one.

in the future, try this site, they list legit resellers. avoid the grey market sites, you dont know what you are really buying (those sites dont get their keys from the game developers/publishers)

Then you should download and install the Rockstar Social Club version of GTA V and stop using the installed Steam version with your Rockstar Social Club product key.
