How Do I get A Refund?
I just bought Far Cry 4 today and have spent over an hour trying to get the game to start. All it does is loop through the most annoying tutorial I have ever agonized through. I just want out....thanks for any help.

If you want a refund why are you still playing the game?

Support > purchases > choose the game > I have a question about this purchase, explain and hope they grant you a refund, if they want they can deny it because you're outside the refund limit, good luck.

The Steam refund offer, within two weeks of purchase and with less than two hours of playtime, applies to games and software applications on the Steam store.

https://store.steampowered.com/steam_refunds

You are outside of the refund window having played 4.1 hours (and currently playing) but you can still request a refund but know that it will likely be refused.

4.6 hours, no longer eligible for a refund.

Here is how to request a refund outside the limits.

Log in to the Steam client - click on help at the top of the screen - click on Steam Support - click on 'Purchases' - click on the game - "I have a question about this purchase" - explain the issue politely.

Don't play the game at all until you have received an answer.

Asking for the refund to go to your wallet seems to help. (Do this especially in this case.)

Stop lying to people about the refund policy.

"There are more details below, but even if you fall outside of the refund rules we’ve described, you can ask for a refund anyway and we’ll take a look."

That is NOT a guaranteed refund.

Valve will give you refunds if you within the 2 hours and 2 weeks of ownership without questions being asked UNLESS Valve thinks you're abusing the refund to play games for free.

I said no longer eligible, which is correct. I did not say they'll flat out refuse. They can still grant one, but it's unlikely. Especially considering that OP is still running the game, now 5.6 hours.
Learn to read before you accuse someone of lying.

If you are "in-game" because the process is stuck then either go into Task Manager and force-quit the game process or reboot your system. Make sure to document any such errors as Support needs to know why you went over the limit.

You now have 6.9 hours in game....

That does not seem possible, given that you are still racking up playtime on it as this thread progresses.

If OP isn't lying, then they ignored my advice.

Not sure but he or she seems to mention the tutorial just being in a loop.
Now we can guess that's an issue with the game running in some kind of freeze (not likely) or just a long tutorial that the OP got tired of. Not sure.

If it's the latter, then it seems he or she got past the tutorial, surely. I doubt the tutorial takes almost 7 hours. :steamhappy:

There is no tutorial in Far Cry 4 only help messages for mechanics.

Coach stopped > Captured > Escape > Crash > Fight to first tower > Avalanche > Village > etc.

Hello Folks,

I appreciate all the responses and at the moment, am a little embarrassed.

Here is what happened.

I downloaded the game, started it, and clicked on " New Game "
The intro video started, ( Which I incorrectly called the tutorial ) where the kid and the old man are in the bus. I go in the shack with the Urn, come out to the helicopter where the video ends and it brings me back to the main menu screen.

No matter which option I chose, New Game.... Continue Online etc... It started the intro video over again. I did this 4 or 5 times and just gave up coming here pretty pissed off.
The next day after work, I started the game and chose "New Game " and it went straight to where it was supposed to go and I had no issues since.
I did nothing different other than having restarted the PC from the night before.
I apologize for not returning here sooner to explain.

First step of troubleshooting is always restart or reboot the PC.
