Making a new account
I have my cousin from overseas staying with us for awhile. He's into games and I created a new user account on windows just for him. I also created a new steam account for him but why are my installed games on his steam account? I disabled the family share option. What if he deletes a game from his account does mine get deleted too?

What if he decides to buy a game will that game appear on my account as well? Also, what if he decides to use the steam mobile authenticator app. Will that effect my account in any way? Sorry for all the questions. We're going to share the same computer, I just want to know how it works

Games are tied to accounts permanently and cannot be removed by someone else. No, if he deletes a game from his account, that does not remove it from your account. Even if you delete a game from your own account, it is not permanent anyway, and you can reverse that.

Technically speaking, we are not supposed to make accounts for other people to use. It violates the SSA :

There is a Zero-Tolerance policy for any violations of the Steam Subscriber Agreement and Online Code of Conduct. All accounts in a user's possession for any of the following activities will be suspended:

Hijacking or Sharing Accounts

Do not use Steam accounts which you did not create.

Steam views what games installed on the same system.

If he buys a game on his account it will only be on his account. But like I said Steam will display games that installed on the system ready.

If you done family sharing it will display all the games that include games that are not installed to appar.

Even if Family Share is disabled, those games are still shown. BUT, Steam will ask to purchase them to play them.

Also, you said you will use the same computer. Since you are asking questions about accounts, you must also consider that if anyone installs any cheats on that same computer, any account used on it and logged into on a VAC secure server will trigger a VAC ban on any games that use VAC as an anticheat.

I can see you said it is your cousin, but this still needs to be pointed out. It won't matter who did the cheating or installed the cheats, in such cases.

I don't like the idea of our accounts being connected. I just deleted the setup I made for him. Thanks guys

There is no connection. It simply shows games that are already on disk. Nothing more, nothing less.
He can't even play them without purchasing them if family share is disabled.

^This, if it not a free to play game, he can't play your games at all, as he need to buy them for his account.

If you want everything separate on the same system, then get another HDD for your desktop, and install OS on it, and set up to give option to select which HDD to boot from, or if not able to set up like that, just remember to press boot key to select the HDD you want to boot to, this way keeps everything separate on the same system.

Or get him his own PC.

Just make sure nothing bad gets installed on the computer.
And each one logs out of the account if not in use.

Nothing can happen with separate accounts.

Read about family share and phone number share. Cheating can affect associated accounts.
