Anybody knows how to change the language of a game?
When the "language" tab doesn't exist in "properties", I mean.
Which seems more and more common now, for some reason, especially with VR games.

go to library right click a game then properties select launch options and put -language japanese or what is your native language

Depends on the game. Some games simply are unilingual. Some have in-game language settings. And very few games take your user account language.
Have you checked if the game in question is polylingual?

Depends on the game. If you have a specific game it might help

Note most games will 'generally' read the system language and set the game to that by default

Appreciate the attempt, but you didn't read the post, did you?

The problem is, the native language of the game is english, and it's set in french (my language), and it's not very good localization.

At the moment, I'm trying to change the language for the game "The Golf Club VR"

Amen brother. I play most games in English rather than German because of usually bad localization.

There some REALLY bad games that localize using some obscure trickery, to completely avoid any real language setting (Steam, operating system, you name it -- it's all ignored). In my case, this manifests as games coming up in German, even though I run an English Windows and my Steam is set to English too...

For some of these games, you might be able to see language folders. If that's the case, deleting the unwanted ones sometimes works. If not... well, I have thumbed-down games just for doing this kind of crap. Just play something else.
