Avatar Rules

So ive been trying to figure out rules around avatars as of late and I cant seem to find anything specific. The reason I ask is because I want my avatar to be an anime character smoking a cigarette as cringe as that may sound to some. I just don't want to violate rules in the process. I think I may be over reacting but better safe then sorry.

that's hardly an issue.

Smoking + nudity or violence or forbidden symbols, on the other hand = removal. The act of smoking isn't inherently forbidden here. Lots of other things are. so... just... don't try sneaking crap under the radar because I guarantee people will notice.

Well im not trying to "sneak anything under the radar" I just want to make sure im within the rules. like take the avatar I have now for example I think its fine but what if steam thinks otherwise and so forth. I think its just good to know the rules.

Like Zek said, as long as it's not nudity, extreme violence, or some anti human stuff, it's totally fine. Unless you're a sociopath, I'm sure you'll know what's fine and what's not.

Worst case scenario, you'll get your profile image removed and nothing else.

If you have to ask, it's probably against some of the rules. It bet it falls under suggestive drug usage, and probably wouldn´t receive an E for everyone rating.
I don´t know what "anime" means or is. You will have to explain that someday. You may use some computer generated imagery, if that´s what you meant.
