Steam wallet code is damaged.

I bought a steam gift card and when I peeled off the sticker It peeled of part of the code with it. Now I cant redeem my card and steam support isnt replying to my emails... Any ideas?

Dude, I buy the card in Eb games(its a video game shop in Canada) and a guy say me that I don't have to scratch it, because he say me that I have to peel it so I peel it and thats why im here :3 (for mooncat)

I don't use cards, i'm usually using other payment methods to get the money onto Steam (PayPal, bank account etc.). It's an ongoing issue so either ppl do it wrong or the quality from the cards is not that great.

He lied. Don't trust employees at that place for important things dealing with your money.

In your defense, if you feel the card (I have one right now in front of me), there is a raised strip that feels like it is peelable but that is just the embossed strip that is put over the code to protect it.

That being said, it says SCRATCH in huge bold letters.

Wait for Steam to respond. Don't close your existing tickets, it will send you to the back of the line. Don't open multiple tickets, they will just be merged/closed. The winter sale is ongoing, so ticket times may be slightly longer than normal. Steam will respond.

I know I dont normally use cards but someone bought this for me as a gift. If I were to add money I would just use paypal.
