Would ANY purchase unlock the steam community market?
Sorry if this has been asked, but I keep finding conflicting information about this.
Some sources say you need to buy something worth at least 5$ to unlock community market, but some say buying the cheapest available game would do the job.
How does it really work? Would buying a game for 0,30$ unlock the market or not?
Thanks for your time and your answers <3 :)

Yes, you will get conflicting info about that as people make that mistake often.

It depends on which restriction you would be talking about.

Sounds like you have the recent purchase restriction, and then yes, any purchase will do for that. A purchase of literally one penny USD would do.

People get this restriction and the limited account restriction mixed up all the time. For THAT one, yes you do have to spend $5 USD to unlock the Market access, but that is a one time thing.

The recent purchase restriction is every year, basically.

You need to spend 5 dollars on the limited account. Either buy something on the store for 5 dollars or charge your Steam Wallet with that amount.
Receiving a gift or activating a key does not count for unlimiting the account.

OP's account is not limited, though.

This is where some of the confusion comes from. OP is probably talking about the recent purchase restriction. For that one, you do not have to buy games, and you do not have to spend any certain amount of money.

EDIT...............

No Purchase Older Than 7 Days

Your account must have a successful purchase older than 7 days, but not older than a year in order to access the Community Market. The purchase of wallet funds, games, DLCs and software meet this requirement. Activating a Steam Wallet Code or Gift Card on your account to add funds to your Steam Wallet also meet this requirement. Retail CD key activation and gift purchases do not satisfy this requirement.
