DLC counter glitched out.

One hour ago I had over 4250 DLCs showing up on the "Game Collector" showcase. Now it's just 1815. I tried adding a few new games, even a DLC pack, but the DLC count seems to be stuck or something.

No ban wave has been initiated and none of my Steam friends seems to have lost anything from their DLC counts. Is there a server or Steam API issue somehow only affecting a small number of users? Any suggestions or information would be welcome.

Strange counter, But I never experienced anything like that. Do you have any proof that the counter goes up by 5 - 7 when you buy 1 DLC?

The other day, i had 915 DLC shown by that counter. About 1 week before hand it was around 867 or so. There is no way with 300 games that i could have over 900 DLC... I know that number has been wrong for a while.

I bought about a few new games though none with that many DLC It then just last night went down to 462. Games without DLC could also affect it. I have observed this over the last few years. Not just me, i know of a few others on my friends list who have observed similar experiences on their own profiles.

No i have no images...

Edit, i just bought a new DLC right now and it seems to be working atm. Ill buy a new game and see if that changes anything.

Edit 2, bought a new game and DLC counter has updated correctly. So it all seems to be fixed.

Having purchased 22 games since October i have suddenly gone up alot of DLC to hit 915 from 839. Most of these games do not have very many DLC... So even though i have not "lost" any DLC, my counter has been updated so it should now be displaying the correct amount of DLC that i own.

Here is an image i found, i knew i had one somewhere. This is from the 13th of december this year: https://imgur.com/M9oDlq4 Since the 13th of december i have purchased 27 DLC. These DLC came with games.

This is the best proof your gonna get. Its all i have lol.

From 1843 to 903. Steam is going less and less. The competition is on their heels with better offers and Steam is hardly considering the big buyers and that we support the platform. This goes from bad to worse.

Well, every time I bought a dlc, he told me +1 not +7. What happened to you does not mean that it happens to all of us.

Steam would not have fixed the issue if it was only happening to a few people. Since it has been happening to everyone, they fixed it. Read the post i linked above...

Unless anyone here is an actual Valve employee, which no one here is, NO ONE can speak on behalf of Valve. Valve should make a statement about it to clear it up, and make everyone shut the f*ck up!

Have read through this whole thing, thanks for the explanations and links, I understand what's going on now.
But for the love of [insert favourite deity here], let it go now, you're not going to convince this guy/these guys, I hope you see that. They're kids that lost their showcase ''coolness'' and they are pissed about it and are taking it out on you. That the ''coolness'' was all a lie they care nothing of, like cheaters they don't care about being right, just about being on top, and you can't win with people like that, you can only either give it up, or feed the little monsters more fuel to direct right back at you.

Dude, your missing the point. You cannot showcase what you do not own. Steam has updated the counters to show exactly what you own. What it said before this change was incorrect.

I am not a troll for stating correct information. You are the one who does not wanna accept this information because its not what you want to hear... far out.

Other forum regulars have stated exactly what i have stated. So again, quit calling me a troll for that i am not.
